Ashley and John's Vintage Seaside Wedding at Glen Manor House

Ashley and John’s vintage styled glitter and gold seaside wedding at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI was a wedding photographer’s dream for so many reasons! Bride Ashley’s custom Lindee Daniel dress that looked like something out of a fairytale, a French Chateau style venue overlooking the Sakonnet River, and glitter and gold everywhere! But there was one thing about this wedding that would’ve had all documentary photographers swooning… the light. Natural, sun-drenched light is what we live for, and this wedding was overflowing with it! Combined with Ashley and John’s constant smiling, these wedding photos look more like something out of an Anthropologie catalog, and we’re okay with that. Ashley found her eco-friendly Lindee Daniel dress through Love Bird Bride, a local bridal boutique in Newport, RI. This flowing custom wedding gown had layers and layers of natural peace silk and organic cotton, and truly had guests oohing and aahing as she walked down the aisle. The groom wore a sleek black tuxedo with suspenders and together these two looked like a prince and princess. Ashley designed her own wedding day shoes, and although we can’t share the brand name with you, let’s just say she’s tight with the world of fashionable women’s footwear. 🙂

The Glen Manor House is stunning all on its own, but Ashley decorated the rooms with gold and glitter details, giving their reception an incredibly unique and memorable vibe. She gave the traditional ball jars a new look with a DIY project involving lots of gold glitter, and the jars were filled with overflowing arrangements of soft and romantic flowers. Gold sequined tablecloths covered the dinner tables, and Ashley used huge white and peach colored balloons to greet the guests as they arrived for the wedding.
