Lindsey and her now husband Dave met through his cousin. She is a hairstylist right outside of Boston and Dave’s cousin was one her of her clients. Lindsey had been doing the cousins hair for years. Lindsey had mentioned that she saw a picture her client posted on Facebook of Dave and said she thought he was cute. The client told Dave, he checked out Lindsey’s Facebook and they set up a date. Social media really is the modern match maker! Their first date was on a Thursday night, and Dave promptly asked Lindsey out for the following Thursday night. They have been inseparable ever since! Lilly Pulitzer Styled Shoot at The Westmoor Club

While we think Lilly is acceptable year round, the bright colors and bold patterns definitely have a summery flair. A few weeks ago we took a trip over to Newport’s unofficial sister city, Nantucket Massachusetts and shot a Lilly Pulitzer themed styled shoot. The beautiful Westmoor Club  was gracious enough to invite us in for a day of shooting amidst the craziness of the annual Nantucket Wine Festival and let me tell you, the result is stunning!

Reception Venue: Glen Manor

Like something out of a modern fairytale, Glen Manor House is every princess’s dream come true. With it’s gilded age glamour inside and sweeping views of the ocean outside, wherever you are there’s a view that can’t be beat. Ceremonies can be held outside on the lawn overlooking the water, in the manicured garden on the side of the property, or inside in one of the beautiful rooms. It’s like something out of a fairy tale. A bit smaller and more intimate than the Newport mansions, and less known, Glen Manor is the perfect venue for a one-of-a-kind couple. Located on a good piece of land in Portsmouth just a few miles away from the hubbub of Newport, there’s no chance of foot traffic disrupting pictures of a ceremony.

In the early 1900s Glen Manor was built as a private home. in 1959 it was sold to the Sisters of the Sacred Heart and turned into a school for children. In the 1970s the property was sold to the city of Portsmouth and restored to its original glory. Today the property is used as an event space.

Whether you like it for the history, the architecture, or the location, you can’t go wrong with Glen Manor. Fit for royalty, the couple that get’s married here is sure to start their lives together on the right foot.
