Newport Rhode Islands stunning wedding venue, Belle Mer ran by Longwood Venue was nothing short of amazing experience. The view of the ocean front was one close to heart, our Groom being from a beach resort town. Upon arrival, a stunning floral hoop greeted guests. The earth toned flowers paired perfectly with the theme of there day, classic elegance! After the cutest first look, Jordan and Joe couple enjoyed portraits by the water. It was a gloomy weather day but according to Joe, so was their first date so it seemed meant to be. After all, it’s just weather. Love makes it all better!
Paige and Stephen are a true Disney couple match made in heaven. They both have a love for everything Disney and incorporated it into little nods throughout their classic wedding. No over the top Black, White and Red Mickey emblems here! You had to look closely in Paige’s bouquet for hidden crystal mickey’s and a few on their cake. They lit up the dance floor under a gorgeous Sperry Tent when they broke out in song – Love is an Open Door from Frozen! They truly finish each other’s sandwiches. Continue reading
Birthdays are the best. Especially if your name is Timothy Lynch. Out with friends for his 23rd birthday, he saw this cute girl at the bar. Little did he know, he had just met his future wife. A senior at Boston University, Stephanie was out with her roommates. When Tim approached her asking to share a birthday drink, she made him show his license to make sure it was his birthday. A girl can’t just give out birthday drinks you know. After the meet cute makeshift date, Tim asked for her number and they talked for the next month while she was home in Wayne, NJ for winter break. After the holidays, Stephanie and Tim had their first real date and the magic started. Inseparable ever since, they moved in together after Stephanie graduated. 2 Years later Tim proposed and Stephanie of course, said yes!
Didn’t you just love Lyndsay‘s tips for better bridal makeup? We did! We loved them so much we got her to share her favorite bridal makeup techniques. See if these give you ideas for your bridal makeup.
- Airbrushing: Flawless, long lasting coverage. Perfect for concealing and evening out skin discoloration while producing an all over glow. I like to use silicone foundations like Temptu S/B to give the skin radiance while still covering imperfections. Airbrush makeup can also be used for tattoo coverage as well!
- Individual Lashes: Create extra definition of the eyes while giving the lashes a fanned out, feathery look without the problems that strip lashes can produce. Unlike a lash strip, individual lashes are lighter on the eye and wont pop off and poke you through the night. Your guests wont know you are wearing falsies, only that your lashes look amazing!
- Priming Your Canvas: A good primer and setting spray are so important to keep your wedding look lasting all night. My go to products for this are Skindinavia’s The Makeup Primer spray and The Makeup Finishing Spray. The primer creates a smooth barrier between the skin and makeup, reducing redness and pores so your makeup sits beautifully on the skin. I cant finish a bridal makeup without The Makeup Finishing Spray: Bridal. It helps the makeup resist oil and moisture while working to keep your makeup looking fresh for 16 hours. I swear by these sprays to keep my looks fresh throughout the day.

One of the joys of going to a wedding (apart from witnessing the marriage of course) is the chance of an open bar. If you are so generous, here are a few cocktails to make sure your bartender knows how to make. You can’t go wrong with the classics! If you’re feeling creative, give them cutsey names that tie back to the wedding. If your name is Brittney call your Martini a Brit-tini. If your name is Jen, call it a Jen and tonic.
I call this dress the snow queen dress. Covered from head to toe in beaded lace (yes that’s lace with tens of thousands of beads sewn overtop) tulle and everything that sparkles, this dress is fit for the snow queen herself. Not the girl with a heart like ice but the girl that wants to impress her guests and knows how to do it. When pared with this one-of-a-kind Pricilla of Boston faux fur coat, this dress goes from WOW to HOLY SMOKES! Would you wear this crystal beaded stunner? Tell us why or why not in the comments!
Meet the lovely Leila. The second she saw this soft pink gown, she started squealing. The layers of pink tulle make the ballgown look soft and light as air. The train feels grand but still playful. We played up the innocent feel with a ballerina bun and some sparkling bling. As you can see in these pictures, the gown was not only beautiful to look at, but fun to wear! The whole time, the crew was just giggling. Such fun! Is this ballerina bride style your favorite look so far? If you love this dress, comment below. We know where you can get one!
Meet the lovely Joanna. She is rocking this sexy boho lace gown. For this look we wanted something easy, slightly casual but still totally sexy. I think we nailed it. This dress works perfectly with the cathedral veil, the birdcage veil, and even the headdress. It’s magical! Everything works, everything looks good. Would you rock this lace curve hugger? Why or why not?
Meet one of the most gorgeous low-backed gowns I’ve ever seen. This dress is to die for. The illusion neckline, the sweet lace, the sexy back, the strands of pearls that hang from the shoulders, the hollywood worthy train, I just can’t get over this wedding dress. It’s simply stunning on. Sarah, our beautiful model said she felt like a movie star. Can you blame her?!
Check back later this week for the second look from our styled shoot!
