Inspired by the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year, photographer Alyssa Parker wanted to bring “Living Coral” to life, incorporating golds, peaches, and greens into this unique and romantic wedding photoshoot.
Captured in Newport’s Queen Anne’s Loft, the shoot showcases a team of vendors from throughout New England, who each brought their twist on incorporating or complimenting this fresh, energetic and playful hue. The venue’s large windows, French doors, large mirrors, as well as its glorious gold chandelier, served as the perfect backdrop for the shoot. Floral arrangements featured proteas, ranunculuses, sweet Juliet roses and strawberries, which looked as beautiful as they tasted, especially on the three-tiered cake, which had a gorgeous coral marble design. The romantic wedding stationery suite incorporated both calligraphy and printed pieces, as well as vellum wax seals, which added a timeless touch.
Boston-based couple and models Shawn and Nycia made the perfect “bride” and “groom” and brought genuine chemistry in front of the camera. Their attire was both classic and modern, featuring detailed accents, colors, and cuts.
There’s no better Rhode Island staple than a Del’s Frozen Lemonade cart, which was a sweet addition and evoked summer memories during this March shoot.
