Donna and Kevin intimate seaside wedding didn’t start out as small or by the sea. After the groom’s father was diagnosed with terminal cancer, the couple moved their wedding location, date, and whole design to be able to celebrate with their family and closest friends.
The decor was really the natural environment of Donna and Kevin’s gorgeous venue, Ocean House. Their outdoor garden ceremony faced the bright blue ocean. The big long table at their reception was filled down the middle by seemingly endless flowers, sand dollar eucalyptus leaves, grapes, hydrangea, and roses. The place cards were sand dollars with each guests name handwritten by the bride’s sister-in-law.
This easy, breezy, effortlessly beautiful couple shared this wise bit of advice for couples planning a wedding: “Enjoy the moment, the process. Don’t get caught up in all that expectation and pomp and circumstance. Perfection is the enemy of good and will prevent you from really capturing the beautiful moments.”
