Hayley and Mike met in Block Island, Rhode Island when they were just teenagers on vacation. They fell in love over multiple summers there, had their first kiss there, and got engaged there. It was only right that they invite all their family and friends to their most special place to celebrate their marriage. Hayley always envisioned that she wanted to get married in “the big white tent at the top of the hill” and to her great joy, it would be to the boy she wrote about in her diary.
While Block Island is known for its casual island vibes, Hayley, who works in the design industry, collaborated with a wonderful set of vendors to turn the white tent on the hill into a fashionable masterpiece. Her gold, blush, and beige decor with Anthropologie vases and white flowers on each table
But of course, they included their own personalities to make their wedding feel like home. They decorated the gift table with healing crystals for the guests to choose from and laughed at “The Office” infused best-man speech. Even a violent thunderstorm that struck after dinner couldn’t squash the mood – it only forced everyone into the tent and onto the dance floor to limbo in their wet wedding clothes. <3
