For our winter styled shoot we explored Lark Hotel Group‘s Gilded Hotel in Newport. With the perfect combination of old world charm and modern accessories, Gilded is a get away dream come true. For part two of our winter styled shoot we imaged a Newport elopement (for Part one see our Gilded Engagement post). With the models in something a little more formal, we played up the hotels intimate spaces. We started in the billiards room, moved on to the magenta front room, then up two explore two of the suites on the second floor. Every room allowed for a different set of pictures. With so many gorgeous spaces, colors, and wall papers, there’s a room for every mood.

A Gilded Engagement – Styled Shoot
Newport is home to hundreds of gorgeous victorian and gilded homes. The infamous Newport Mansions boast unmatched grandeur, but they aren’t the only ones with beauty and grace. For this winter styled shoot we choose the glamorous Gilded Hotel on Brinley Street in Newport. Part of the Lark Hotel Group, Gilded is one of a handful of gorgeous boutique hotels across the country that perfectly encompasses the best of historical charm and modern elegance. Converting two homes into one boutique hotel, Gilded has all the curious nooks and crannies of a century old home and the modern conveniences of a luxury hotel. It’s perfect! We loved Gilded so much we decided to break the shoot into two segments, one casual engagement shoot and one more formal elopement shoot. Working with the talented Kim from Kim Lyn Photography and Sarah from Blush and Dirt for hair and makeup, we had a first rate group as the pictures are proof.
Best of 2015
2015 was chalk full of beautiful things. From styled shoots and featured weddings, the year was a happy one. As 2016 begins we can’t help but look back and be thankful for an amazing 12 months. Here’s to 2016 and a look back at some of our favorite parts of 2015.
Playful and Plaid – A Peak at our Fort Adams Styled Shoot
Ever dreamed of tulle and plaid? I have. Our Playful and Plaid winter styled shoot at Fort Admas was everything festive and fun. From the bride’s tulle ball gown skirt and holly berry head wreath to the bridesmaids pinecone bouquets and the grooms newsboy cap. This shoot was all about incorporating Christmas-esq elements without being a strictly Christmas wedding. The plaids and holly berries pulled the theme along while the lack of decorated tree kept you guessing. We can’t wait to show you the rest of the pictures, stay tuned for the full set after the holidays!
Sweet and Sassy – The Patterned Pink Gown
First of all, let’s just talk about this gown. First of all, it’s PINK! Second, it has this crazy full skirt and makes the best swooshing noise. This dress was by far the favorite from our styled shoot at Hotel Viking earlier this month. We paired this statement dress with a lots of pearls, a sweet little pony tail and a sassy cat eye. Stunning.
What do you think of the color and designs? Would you rock this fashionable dress for your wedding?

The Snow Queen
I call this dress the snow queen dress. Covered from head to toe in beaded lace (yes that’s lace with tens of thousands of beads sewn overtop) tulle and everything that sparkles, this dress is fit for the snow queen herself. Not the girl with a heart like ice but the girl that wants to impress her guests and knows how to do it. When pared with this one-of-a-kind Pricilla of Boston faux fur coat, this dress goes from WOW to HOLY SMOKES! Would you wear this crystal beaded stunner? Tell us why or why not in the comments!

The Ballerina Bride | A Styled Shoot by The Newport Bride
Meet the lovely Leila. The second she saw this soft pink gown, she started squealing. The layers of pink tulle make the ballgown look soft and light as air. The train feels grand but still playful. We played up the innocent feel with a ballerina bun and some sparkling bling. As you can see in these pictures, the gown was not only beautiful to look at, but fun to wear! The whole time, the crew was just giggling. Such fun! Is this ballerina bride style your favorite look so far? If you love this dress, comment below. We know where you can get one!

The Stylish Low Backed Gown | A Styled Shoot by The Newport Bride
Meet one of the most gorgeous low-backed gowns I’ve ever seen. This dress is to die for. The illusion neckline, the sweet lace, the sexy back, the strands of pearls that hang from the shoulders, the hollywood worthy train, I just can’t get over this wedding dress. It’s simply stunning on. Sarah, our beautiful model said she felt like a movie star. Can you blame her?!
Check back later this week for the second look from our styled shoot!

Styled Shoot Part 1: The Set Up
Last weekend we held our first styled shoot. Thank to the generous collaboration of some beautiful vendors, everything came together perfectly. What girl doesn’t want to play dress up in a gorgeous wedding dress?
We started the day with 3 models, 7 dresses, a dozen pairs of shoes, bouquets, and jewelry; the full shabang. After hours of dress changes and flying hairspray, we came away with 6 polished looks. Over the next few weeks we’re going to debut the outfits. There’s inspiration for every bride, something boho, something pink, something retro, something classic, some that are pure fun! Stay tuned and check back to see all the gorgeousness!
