Ever heard the old saying that rain is good luck on your wedding day? Whether it’s true or not (p.s. we totally believe it’s true…) Dana and Zeke’s wedding day is proof that rain doesn’t have to ruin your day or your photos. When you choose a beautiful getting ready spot, rain doesn’t make the pictures worse, it just changes the scenery. Continue reading

Ashley and Cole’s Hotel Viking Wedding
Cole and Ashley were secretly set up by a mutual friend. After just a few dates, they were inseparable. After a few years and even a house, Cole proposed, by the bonfire at their new home on a Friday night, to the sounds of Frank Sinatra. Their first dance was “The Best is Yet to Come” by Frank Sinatra, a little flashback to their sweet engagement.
Kayla and Steve’s Red and Gold Wedding The Atlantic Resort
After a first meeting while in their college years at Bentley University, Kayla and Steve happened to meet up in years later when they both lived in NYC. All it took was one date for the couple to “go steady”. Their relationship eventually blossomed into an engagement and they started planning their Newport Wedding. The couple loved the City by the Sea’s convenient location and sea side charm. Plus, as they later found out, the bride’s grandparents met in Newport at the Hotel Viking at a Greek dance. Continuing on the family history, the couple choose Hotel Viking as their getting ready spot and captured some truly beautiful first look photos captured by Molly Anne Photography. Carrying on the festive fell that comes into Newport with the fall breezes, the couple choose rich reds and golds to decorate their wedding weekend. Continue reading

Kristin and Greg’s Hotel Viking Wedding
Kristen and Greg met at the University of Connecticut during their Freshman orientation the summer of 2006. They remained in touch over the summer prior and couldn’t wait to get back to campus and see each other. It’s said that everything happens for a reason, and it was there on campus that Kristen and Greg formed a close friendship that eventually lead to their marriage!
Silver and Gold Christmas by the Sea at Hotel Viking
There are two things we love. Christmas, and being by the sea. Thankfully, in Newport everything goes with sea shells and sailboats, even the holidays.
The Sexy Boho Bride | A Styled Shoot by The Newport Bride
Meet the lovely Joanna. She is rocking this sexy boho lace gown. For this look we wanted something easy, slightly casual but still totally sexy. I think we nailed it. This dress works perfectly with the cathedral veil, the birdcage veil, and even the headdress. It’s magical! Everything works, everything looks good. Would you rock this lace curve hugger? Why or why not?

The Stylish Low Backed Gown | A Styled Shoot by The Newport Bride
Meet one of the most gorgeous low-backed gowns I’ve ever seen. This dress is to die for. The illusion neckline, the sweet lace, the sexy back, the strands of pearls that hang from the shoulders, the hollywood worthy train, I just can’t get over this wedding dress. It’s simply stunning on. Sarah, our beautiful model said she felt like a movie star. Can you blame her?!

Styled Shoot Part 1: The Set Up
Last weekend we held our first styled shoot. Thank to the generous collaboration of some beautiful vendors, everything came together perfectly. What girl doesn’t want to play dress up in a gorgeous wedding dress?
We started the day with 3 models, 7 dresses, a dozen pairs of shoes, bouquets, and jewelry; the full shabang. After hours of dress changes and flying hairspray, we came away with 6 polished looks. Over the next few weeks we’re going to debut the outfits. There’s inspiration for every bride, something boho, something pink, something retro, something classic, some that are pure fun! Stay tuned and check back to see all the gorgeousness!

The Newport Bride & Newport Wedding Magazine
It’s that time of year again, when Newport Wedding Magazine gets released. I am blessed to not only have my wedding featured in the 2016 issue, but I have a full page article on the inside back cover!
Grab a copy at a local newsstand location and turn to page 54 for a spread on my May wedding at the Hotel Viking, and page 96 for an article by yours truly! Going from a planning-crazed fiancé to a wife is just the beginning of the newly wed fun.
Sneak peak: there’s two pictures of my fluffy husky Nekoda. One in the wedding spread and one somewhere else…. can you find it?
