Nick and Holly’s meet-cute started at the University of Rhode Island at a surf club social held by Holly’s sorority, Alpha Phi. What started with a shared oceanography class and a birthday party, quickly grew into date nights and head over heels love!
Kerin & Ryan picked Newport for their wedding location, almost on a whim. Both had never spent too much time in our quaint coastal town but after a visit, they knew that it was the perfect place to host their wedding. A local destination of sorts, Newport provided the perfect place for their friends and family to escape to without much traveling. And with cooler temperatures and small crowds, the weekend event was the perfect way to experience Newport in a leisurely and relaxed pace. Kerin & Ryan started the day in downtown Newport, both getting ready in separate houses right on Thames Street. Kerin’s house even had a top floor roof deck that overlooked downtown and Newport Harbor! Following a lovely and intimate ceremony, they headed to the magnificent Elms Mansion for wedding portraits with their wedding party & family. Finally, they headed back to Regatta Place, located right in Newport Harbor, for a night of dancing and celebrating. Their day was a great mix of everything wonderful about Newport – the history and coastal charm was the perfect compliment for Kerin & Ryan’s day as captured by Deborah Zoe Photography. Danielle and Dave met freshman year at the University of Rhode Island through mutual friends before a URI basketball game. On the first day of Junior year, they ran into each
other at CharlieO’s bar and all it took was that first date for them to “go steady”. On the weekends they made trips to Newport and fell in love with each other and the quaint seaside town. They even named their Goldendoodle Rhody because of the special place Rhode Island holds in their hearts!
A little bit of rain couldn’t dampen the joyous spirits of these two lovebirds. Though their big day was perhaps a little damper than most would hope for, the grey clouds only served to let their love shine through all the more. At first, Ariana played hard to get saying her career in gastroenterology was her focus, but Elie, a Behavioral Scientist was no stranger to hard work and his diligence paid off when he finally got a date with his dream girl. A true collaboration of their styles, their big day combined a bit of old school charm with some modern day flair. From their dog Sadie being their “flower girl” and fireworks being set off across the water from Fort Adams (which was a total coincidence) that made their reception totally unique. Megan and James’s wedding venue has quite literally, movie worthy. Their gilded age mansion venue, Rosecliff Mansion, has made appearances in many hollywood films such as the original The Great Gatsby and True Lies. This palatial “summer cottage” originally owned by silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs also made a stunning backdrop for this sweet couples romantic wedding. Erica Trombetti from Infinite Events, LLC and Ready Luck Photography helped this couples vision come to life in an event worthy of the magnificent space and sweeping ocean views.
Maura and Doug’s Castle Hill Inn Wedding was a nautical dream. Alongside the cliffside coast of Newport, roamed a bridal party in a shade of sea glass accented with coral bouquets of garden roses. The reception was styled with aqua seahorses and nautical knots as prominent themes. Brandon and Cassie were high school sweethearts. Together through high school and college, after 8 years, Brandon surprised Cassie with a picnic dinner on Newport beach followed by a proposal. The engagement set the tone and the couple knew they wanted to get married in Newport it was just a matter of where. Sadly, during the wedding planning process Brandon’s father unexpectedly passed away. The Father-of-the-groom had visited one venue, Castle Hill Inn, and his presence at the venue sealed the deal. Cassie and Brandon’s Navy and Gold wedding was one the grooms father surely would have been proud of. Every detail was an elegant reflection of the couple and what they love. From a cigar station, ice cream and desert bar, and even tree sapling favors, this wedding was a detailed dream.
