Lauren + Ricky’s Belle Mer Wedding

Ricky and Lauren had the day of their dreams this past July 23, 2022. After 7 years of dating meeting during their senior year at Roger Williams University, they got married surrounded by family and friends.

Newport, RI means a lot the couple as they each spent time in town visiting during and after college. Right after Ricky proposed, they knew that Newport was where their wedding weekend was meant to take place, giving their guests an excuse to visit the city during the most beautiful time of year. With both his and her families being from different states, their wedding was the first time everyone got to meet in the best place to visit.

When they choose their venue, Lauren and Ricky dreamed of the famous “Belle Mer sunset,” and that’s exactly what they got! Just peak their sunset photos and get ready to be wowed! As an extra surprise, their wedding weekend was the same weekend as the Newport Folk Festival, and their guest got an unexpected but welcomed performance by Paul Simon. The guests were very impressed!

One of the highlights of the night was Ricky’s wedding gift to me: a live painting of our first dance painted by Alfredo Carlson. It’s a piece of art I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life and will pass down to our future children.

Olivia and Zach’s wedding was a true fairytale. The bride’s Ines Di Santo gown with a massive train stole the show, and rightly so! Her grand entrance to one of the nations oldest churches, Trinity Church, was just the beginning of the night’s bold statement. The reception was held at Rosecliff Mansion, a 1920’s white stone mansion on the famed Bellevue Avenue. It was a true party with 200 people dancing the night away. The day’s huge thunderstorm only served to make the mansion feel cozy and romantic, all lit up with candles and filled with white roses as captured by photographer Benedicte Verley Photography. The night winded down with sparkling gold fireworks overlooking the ocean out on the back lawn, a festive way to finish a joyous evening!
