Ellen and Chris met on a February night in 2013 at one of Brooklyn’s finest bars – Hank’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Saloon. Their meet-cute was just that, a cute meet up that grew into a tender romance. In December 2014 a move brought them to Boston, just in time for a record-breaking 100+ inches of snowfall. A year and a half later, they traveled to Syracuse to celebrate Chris’ 32nd birthday. Unbeknownst to Ellen, he had been carrying an engagement ring that he designed with a friend. On the way home, Chris surprised Ellen with a detour to where he proposed. Ellen said yes!

Leanne and Paul met in the summer of 2008 when she stopped to see a friend get ready for prom with her boyfriend, which just so happened to be Paul’s younger brother. Leanne was sitting in the kitchen eating his mother’s pizza when he walked in from work. Right from the start they had an instant connection. Leanne and Paul dated for that summer but then decided to take a break and go back to college. Paul attended Bryant University and Leanne attended the University of Rhode Island. After about a year and a half of keeping in contact, they decided they couldn’t be apart any longer. On Christmas Eve 2009 Paul called Leanne around 2 o clock in the morning after she gotten home from midnight mass with the family and told her he knew she was the one he wanted to be with.
After dating for 6 years, Paul finally knew it was time to pop the question. During the first 6 months of their relationship, Leanne studied abroad in Paris for 6 weeks. During this time, she fell in love with the city and have always wanted to go back. After she returned, Paul took her to the next best place, Epcot in Disney World. After a long day of walking Epcot in the pouring rain the couple finally sat down to dinner at Monsieur Paul’s in Epcot Paris. After an amazing meal, Leanne was surprised with a plate of what looked like dessert but was really an engagement ring with the words “Will you marry me” written on the plate in French. Needless to say, that day Disney lived up to its tag line and certainly was the happiest place on earth for Leanne and Paul.
When Leanne and Paul started planning their wedding they immediately thought of getting married in the Newport area. Being a south county girl, Leanne has always loved the ocean and the history behind the mansions of Newport. After a few months of venue searching, the bride-to-be happened upon a picture of her grandmother and late grandfather at a garden. Flipping the picture over, she saw the words “Blithewold Mansion” written on the back and knew she had found their venue. A visit to the home and gardens confirmed that it was the perfect blend of classic glamour and sophisticated mansion style. The final decision was picking a day. The couple went with 4th of July weekend as the ultimate way to celebrate their country and their new lives together.

Danielle and Omer met over a decade ago as students at The George Washington University. While Danielle may not have realized it at the time, Omer always had a hunch that somehow their paths would cross and fate would bring them together. The next 10 years brought many highs and lows, but there was always something special that drew them back to each other. While it took a bit longer than he would have liked, Omer and Danielle finally ended up realizing their true feelings for each other in the Fall of 2013.
Set up by a mutual friend, Alexandra and Todd met at a local bar in Charlestown. They spent the night lost in love. Not wanting the night to end, they strolled hand in hand through the grounds of Parris Landing until they stumbled upon a swimming pool. Todd suggested that they take a quick moonlight dip and Alexandra knew she had met her match. From there, the fun continued through countless country concerts, hanging with friends in Boston, late night pizza and occasional moonlight swims. Todd proposed to Alexandra 6 years later in Boston and planned the most amazing engagement weekend full of amazing surprises, family and friends.

Caleb and I (Claire) met in January 2008 during my freshman year at Roger Williams University. Caleb was roommates with one of my best friends from high school who was just returning from his study abroad session in Italy and invited me over to a party. As soon as I walked into their apartment, I saw Caleb for the first time and he had the most captivating smile. We didn’t talk that night besides being introduced to one another, but after I got home from the party, I called my mom and told her that I had met the guy I was going to marry. After that night, we started talking and developed an incredible relationship full of Boston Bruins games, Big Macs and Nantucket beach days. Six years later, Caleb proposed at the Beavertail Lighthouse in Jamestown on a beautiful February day.

Lindsey and her now husband Dave met through his cousin. She is a hairstylist right outside of Boston and Dave’s cousin was one her of her clients. Lindsey had been doing the cousins hair for years. Lindsey had mentioned that she saw a picture her client posted on Facebook of Dave and said she thought he was cute. The client told Dave, he checked out Lindsey’s Facebook and they set up a date. Social media really is the modern match maker! Their first date was on a Thursday night, and Dave promptly asked Lindsey out for the following Thursday night. They have been inseparable ever since!
