Wine-Lovers Wedding

It’s Friday! Time to un-wine-d and start the weekend! Ok, enough of the puns. If you and your fiancé are wine lovers, or just love rich color tones, a wine themed wedding might be just what you’re looking for. The dark reds and purples are flattering on everyone. Whether your big day is at a vineyard or in the backyard, a wine theme can be elegantly carried out. See if these pics get the creative juices flowing. What about that pouring of the wine ceremony idea… do have and to hold, and to drink together forever!

It’s The Little Things

Couples can spend years planning the best day of their life. They focus on every detail down to the smallest things. These are our 10 favorite little things couples have done to make a guests experience enjoyable.

Weddings can be long, and hot, and tiring, Help guests cool off with custom labeled water bottles. If you include a coozie, guests can take home another reminder of the big day!

Have a painter on site at your ceremony to capture the events on canvas. Not only will guest love to look at the piece during the reception, but you have a one-of-a-kind art piece for your home!

Create a “Wall of Fame” celebrating your two families. Guests will love to see you both as children and your journey to each other.

Help guests feel comfortable by making a “His” and Hers” basket in the bathrooms with just a bit of everything.

If each table has a champaign or wine bottle, why not make the ice cubes something to marvel at with frozen flowers?

Small children can get bored at a wedding. With a coloring book (bride and groom pictures of course) and crayons, they are sure to be quiet and content!

Custom gold foil printed napkins make cocktail hour a glamourous affair.

Encourage guests to tag their wedding pics with your custom hashtag. (Many wedding websites have features where you can automatically bring in any picture from Instagram that has a specific hashtag.)

Dancing can really wear you out! These cute (and easy to make) paper fans will bring guest some relief when their breaking it down on the dance floor.

Speaking of dancing, guests will love these flip flops for their tired feet. Easy to buy cheep in bulk, it can be a fun favor, or just an extra!

Friday Fav: Turn your bouquet into jewelry

It’s the morning after your wedding. You’re running off to the airport and you see the bouquet laying on the table. Is it worth keeping? What does anyone even do with their bouquet after the big day…

There are a few options. If you’ve got patience and a steady hand you can make a great shadow box with the dried stems. But, that’s a lot of work and time and effort. Or… You could have your blooms turned into beads. Yes, beads.

There are a few companies that can do the magic. My favorites are Bella Beads, Timeless Moments, and Memorial Beads. For each company, you send away a bouquet or a single bloom, and they can make anything from a single bead for a Pandora style bracelet, a whole necklace, a bracelet, earrings, rings, a charm, etc. What a fun way to re-use your special (expensive) wedding day flowers!

Friday Fav: Rescue Flats

We’ve all been there. You’re having a great time at the party but your adorable shoes are killing your feet. Do you yank them off and go barefoot or do you struggle through the night with blisters?

Our Friday fav solves the problem! Rescue Flats are pre-boxed wedding favor flats.  How perfect is that?!

Friday Fav: MapIsArt

Last Thanksgiving while touring the Hotel Viking’s annual Small Business Saturday Showcase, we came across one of the coolest businesses. MapIsArt allows buyers to put in a location, down to a specific address, and a water color style piece of art is generated from the topographical map of that location. These beautiful images can be put onto marble coasters, lamp shades, a serving tray, canvas, clock, print, and coming soon, baby onezies and pencil skirts. Each pieces is beautiful and completely unique.

Based in Newport Rhode Island, MapIsArt is our latest Friday Fav. Just as perfect a gift for the couple of honor, remembering where they tie the knot, as it for bridesmaids, groomsmen, mothers, fathers, and god parents. Their art is something everyone should own. Too cute!
