What’s bright, cheerful, and has lots of sparkles? Our Kate Spade inspired styled shoot of course! We partnered with some truly spectacular vendors and took over the gorgeous Vanderbilt Grace Hotel for a day to create some pink and black magic. What do you think, are you inspired?
While we think Lilly is acceptable year round, the bright colors and bold patterns definitely have a summery flair. A few weeks ago we took a trip over to Newport’s unofficial sister city, Nantucket Massachusetts and shot a Lilly Pulitzer themed styled shoot. The beautiful Westmoor Club was gracious enough to invite us in for a day of shooting amidst the craziness of the annual Nantucket Wine Festival and let me tell you, the result is stunning!
Some themes have a certain seasonal feel to them. A outdoor cookout seems to be something meant for summer, at least for those of us based in the north. Art Deco is one of those themes that works in every season. Sun, rain, shine or snow glitz and glam is always appropriate. Being a popular theme for the last few years, there are plenty of invitations to choose from! Here are just a few of our favorites.
It’s that time of year! Snow is falling all around the country and thing are pretty and white. Whether you are a snow bunny at heart or just embracing the season, adding seasonal touches to your wedding decor can keep your day unique and festive. Whether you want one or twenty snow-time touches, embrace your inner Elsa and let it go.
The new year is just hours away! Sparkles are always acceptable, especially when it comes to the big countdown. Flower girls for a NYE wedding just have to have some glitter. We found a few fabulous sparkling options for the little ones. Your flower girl is going to LOVE it!
Christmas is just a few days away! New years plans are in the making and that means LOTS OF SEQUINS!

Think of the Gatsby ultimate’s party. There’s sparking lights, beaded dresses and fancy suits, and lots and lots of champaign. Sounds like the perfect wedding, right?
Roaring 20s weddings are all the rage. It’s fun, it’s vintage, and it lets everyone feel like they’re playing dress up for a day. The original Great Gatsby movie (1974) was shot in part at Marble House and Rosecliff right here in Newport. These turn of the century “summer cottages” are glamorous and totally movie worthy. 115 years later, they’re definitely wedding worthy. A Gatsby themed wedding combines all the glamour and grace with a rocking party and great clothes. What more could a bride, or her guests, want!

According to The Knot, the rose has been and continues to be the most popular wedding flower. While beautiful and sweet smelling, they aren’t everyones favorite. Sunflowers represent the sun and it’s cheerful life-giving rays. They symbolize adoration, loyalty, and longevity. If you’re a sunflower fan, this blog is your wedding inspiration. That last picture, it’s a sunflower lovers dream come true, no?
