We’re a sucker for any type of pet being included in the wedding festivities. Bunnies in bow ties, puppies in floral crowns, there’s really no wrong answer as far as we’re concerned. We wanted to show you a few easy ways to get your pet dressed for the big day. Plus, if you scroll all the way to the bottom we have an insider tip for managing the pet’s schedule the day of the wedding!
To capture our favorite no-hastle looks, we worked with the Potter League Animal Shelter. They were gracious enough to let us use their adorable animals as our photoshoot models. All but 1 of the dogs you see below are up for adoption! Maria Burton Photography, her Bernese Mountain Dog Moose (seen in the floral wreath), Crystal Burns of Annear Videography, captured the beautiful images and video, and KJP generously gave us fun bandanas, beautiful braided cord and leather collars, and classic nautical leashes.

Extra Tip: You can’t be the one to manage your pet’s day. Either have a friend whose sole job is caring for your 4-legged favorite, or hire a service to bring your pet to the ceremony and photo time. The Lucky Dog Resort in Middletown RI does just that! They call it ‘Wedding Valet’ they chauffeur the dog to and from the venue and ensure a stress free experience by handling the dog until they are ready to walk down the aisle or pose for pictures. Don’t let dog duty dampen your big day!
