Amanda and Michael’s wedding at the brand new Atlantic Resort Newport stunned us from the moment we saw it. From their ceremony at the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church Saint Spyridon to their blast of a reception at the new Atlantic Resort Newport, they day was just perfect. The bride and groom got ready at the Newport Marriott and took pictures outside by the harbor. Ocean pictures are always a good idea as far as we are concerned. We well in love with Amanda and Michael’s wedding pictures and it was hard, but we broke it down to our 5 favorite parts of their big day…

“I first saw Michael while walking through the kitchen the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa on my first interview. He worked at the Steakhouse as a cook and was about to get a job managing the front desk at the hotel. After a year of not-so-subtle hints he eventually asked me out and five years after that he asked me to marry him (again after a few years of not-so-subtle hints). 10 months later we got married!

We choose Newport, Rhode Island and the Atlantic Resort for a few very special reasons. My father works in construction and poured the concrete foundation for the Toner Memorial Bridge located on the Newport Navy Base which was dedicated in honor of my brother Francis “Frankie” Lawrence Toner IV who was killed in action overseas in 2009. He also poured the foundation for The Atlantic Resort and told me about the venue. Both foundations lead our love story to Newport.”
