Just down the street is Brittany walking over to Tallulah’s. She’s thinking about this blind date her friend set her up on. Was this a good idea? He had said she’d know him by his black coat. Doesn’t everyone have a black coat? Was that supposed to be funny?
Brittany gets to Tallulah’s, sees Trevor in his black coat and goes for a firm handshake. Trevor didn’t get the message and went in for a hug. Like magic, their laughter broke the awkward blind date spell and they knew the night was going to be a good one.
As opposite as opposites can be, Trevor and Brittany found love and laughter in the the quirks of the other person. When the couple met Trevor was training for his third Ironman competition and spend his weekends doing road races. Brittany spent weekends walking from Newport Power Yoga to empire Coffee with girlfriends. Trevor eats only organic produce and Brittany firmly believes that late night pizza is a food group all its own. She is the life of the party, Trevor is a bit more reserved. The more the couple got to know each other the more they fell in love. They are perfectly imperfect for each other, two halves of one whole.
Three years after the awkward blind date, on Christmas Eve they got engaged. Though opposite in so many ways, Trevor and Brittany agreed on their love of all things Christmas and set the date for three years to the day after they first met. While looking for the perfect cozy winter venue, the couple came across Newport Vineyards. Loving the industrial feel the couple felt that the spot would be perfect for their big day. Plus, it would give their out of town guests another Newport hot spot to explore!
On December 12, 2015, Brittany and Trevor got married in a beautiful space at the newly renovated Newport Vineyards. From start to finish their happy day was full of personal touches from the served beer Trevor home brewed, their first dance to “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and an appearance from Santa. This modern Christmas wedding was everything the couple had always dreamed of. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
